GITAM is a privately-owned university approved by the UGC. It offers many facilities like hostel for girls and boys, library, gym, etc. established in the year 1980, GITAM believes in quality education rather than quantity education. Having over 642 faculties, the student teacher ration of this college clearly shows their belief in quality education which is 6:1. With over 34 courses available for both under graduate and post graduate courses. Depending on your interest one can enroll in engineering course or management course. One has to clear the University Level examination GITAM GAT or the National Level Examination NATA for under graduate course and GATE National Level Examination or GITAM GAT PGT University Level Examination depending on the course one wants to study in the University.

GITAM not only has undergraduate and postgraduate courses to offer, it also offers diploma courses. Some of the UG courses offered are: B. Arch, B. Tech Biotechnology, B. Tech Computer Science Engineering, BE Aerospace Engineering, BE Civil Engineering, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering, BE Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, BE Industrial Engineering. Some of the postgraduate courses offered are: M. Phil Computer Science, M. Phil Economics, M. Sc Food Science and Technology, M. Tech Biomedical Engineering, M. Tech Computer Science and technology.

  1. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering, Kakinada

JNTUCEK is a government owned college approved by the UGC. Established in the year 1946, it has many facilities to offer such as boys hostel, girls hostel, library, medical, IT Infrastructure, etc. with limited courses to offer, JNTUCEK only has 19 courses to offer, yet it is one of the best Universities in the State of Andhra Pradesh. To get admission into their undergraduate program one has to clear AP EAMCET, while GATE and AP PGECET is to be cleared to get a seat in the post graduate course.

It has many courses to offer such as: civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, PE and PCE, Physical Education, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, etc. Companies like Tata Consultancy Service, Wipro, Honeywell, ITC, Infotech, Larsen and Tourbo, Mahindra, Accenture, Sterlite, Medha, IBM, Hyundai, etc. come for their placements

  1. GMR Institute of Technology, Rajam

GMR Institute of Technology, RajamKondampeta Andhra Pradesh was established in 1997. It is a privately owned college and is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. It has many facilities to offer such as boys hotel, girls hostel, gym, library, auditorium, etc. there are more than 200 faculty members in the college. And the ratio of student faculty is 17:1, which is comparatively high as compared to other colleges. They have their own entrance examination. One has to clear AP PGECET for the post graduate course and AP EAMCET for undergraduate course. Both of the two examinations are state level examination. There are 15 courses available out of which 8 are under graduate course and 7 are post graduate courses.

Some of undergraduate courses offered are Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Power Engineering. While some of the postgraduate courses that are offered are Electronics and Communication Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Power Engineering, Environmental Engineering.

  1. AU College of Engineering, Vishakhapatnam

AUCE is affiliated to Andhra Pradesh, University. It was founded in 1953 and only has limited facilities to offer such as boys hostel, girls hostel and a library. The student teacher ratio is 15:1 having only over 180 faculty members. AP EAMCET is State Level Examination which needs to be cleared in order to get admission in their undergraduate course, while AP PGECET a State Level Examination is to be cleared to get admission in their post graduate course.

They have over 50 courses to offer, some of the courses are: Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Civil Environmental Engineering, Architecture Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Civil and Structural Engineering, Power Engineering, etc.
